Who is Acadia Cornerstone Real Estate?
We are a team of dedicated professionals who love what we do! We take the real estate business seriously and we believe that you can have fun doing what you love to do. We have a passion for working with buyers and sellers. Our goal is to help each client that we work with to obtain the best outcome in their real estate endeavor.
With Sellers we prepare a tailor made marketing plan to suit their property recognizing the fact that one size does not fit all. With Buyers we strive to not only find them a property with equity, but work with them through the process of getting estimates, building inspection, loan process and more.
Although we are a Bar Harbor real estate company, we have developed working relationships with clients throughout the Acadia real estate market. Our Bar Harbor real estate agency also serves the Ellsworth real estate market, the Blue Hill real estate area and the downeast regions of Hancock real estate including Sullivan real estate and Sorrento real estate.

We love this area of Maine, we feel that it is one of the most beautiful places in the country and the name Acadia represents all that this region has to offer. We consider the region around Acadia to include not only all of Mount Desert Island, but the surrounding communities of Ellsworth Maine, Blue Hill Maine and the Down East including Sullivan and Hancock.

Veena Gaines, MA, CRS, GRI, Designated Broker: Veena worked 7 years as Controller for a local hotel operator with multiple properties.  Veena has a strong financial background and has also managed a hotel as well as being involved in sales at several retail businesses. Veena has been in real estate full time for more than 8 years, her passion is working with buyers and sellers to get the best value for their property. Veena works tirelessly to find properties that will be a good fit for her clients. More than once Veena has talked her clients out of a property she believed would not be a good match for the people she is working with. Her motto is that she does not just want to help her clients now, but for life!
Veena’s strong financial background has helped her negotiate several large transactions that have benefited her clients, including the purchase of Bar Harbor and Ellsworth Hotels. Veena’s financial background gives her an edge when doing research to help her clients make sure they are getting the best value for their hard earned dollars. Veena’s negotiating skills have at times, saved her clients more than the commission earned. Veena is constantly educating herself in current real estate trends and marketing to maintain a sharp edge in the real estate market.
Matt Mattson, Associate Broker: Born and brought up in Blue Hill, Maine. Matt still lives in Blue Hill with his wife and family. Matt is a dedicated and friendly person that will help make your real estate experience the best it can be.
Stephanie Bradshaw, Associate Broker: Stephanie has been with Acadia Cornerstone for more than 2 years. Stephanie moved to the Ellsworth area in June of 2007. She and her husband purchased their first home through Acadia Cornerstone in June of 2008. Stephanie enjoyed the home buying process so much she pursued her license and now does real estate full time.
Stephanie understands that in today's economy it is more important than ever to get the best deal you can! So whether you are buying or selling, She will work hard to make sure you keep as much of your hard earned money as possible!
Ruth Marie Adams, Sales Agent: As a Coast Guard veteran, Ruth Marie understands moving and house hunting processes very well. Although new as a real estate sales agent, she has purchased and sold many homes of her own. Ruth Marie will be conscientious and detailed as she helps you with your real estate needs.
Ruth Marie is also the Vacation Rental Property Manager for Acadia Cornerstone. Ruth Marie would love to help you fill your vacation rental properties with guests. Ruth Marie joined our team after arriving from Seward, Alaska where she owned and operated The Perpetual Kettle B&B. She is a qualified vacation property manager and is anxious to work with you to help fill your vacation properties with guests so they can fully enjoy the Down East experience! Her many years of administrative experience will help make the process smooth and efficient for you.
